Metronidazole

Metronidazole is used for the treatment of bacterial vaginosis, a condition characterized by yellow discharge and a strong odor, and certain sexually transmitted infections. Alcohol consumption must be avoided during treatment and for 72 hours after to prevent strong adverse reactions, including severe vomiting, headache, and flushing.
